Billy Richard ‘Bill’ Henson

NORMAN — Billy Richard “Bill” Henson, of Moore, was born on Aug. 15, 1960. He left this life Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the age of 52. Bill was born to Billy Mack Henson and Loredana Wells in Lone Star, Texas. He grew up in Moore and graduated from Moore High School in 1979.

Bill married Jeanette Kathryn Ritchie on May 28, 2005. They settled in Moore and have two sons, Devin and Daxton Henson.

Bill started his career at Shaklee, which later became Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals, and most recently became Astellas Pharma U.S. Bill stayed with the company through all of its changes for 32 years.

Bill had a black belt in taekwondo and shared his passion for the art by teaching. Bill enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle and gardening. Bill loved being a father.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Mack Henson and Loredana Wells.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Henson; sons Devin and Daxton Henson; brothers Shawn Wells of Moore and Gordon Wells of Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Donna Ward of Moore; stepfather, Ray Wells; as well as countless beloved family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmaus Baptist Church at 16001 S. Western in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
