NORMAN — Avis Mae Warren Westbrook, 91, of Carney, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. Born Feb. 11, 1922, in Wynnewood View, she was the daughter of Otis and Fannie Warren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bill Eisenhour Northeast chapel, with burial alongside her husband at 3 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
She lived in Midwest City for many years and was a life-long part of Warren’s Nursery. Avis was an avid gardener, loving to grow both vegetables and flowers. She also loved sewing, canning and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Forrest L. Westbrook; and seven siblings.
Survivors include three sons, William Westbrook of Carney, Forrest Westbrook Jr. of Edmond and Robert Westbrook of Norman; two daughters, Clarette K. Westbrook of Norman and Yvonne Knapp of Raritan, Ill.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Ernest Holasek of Norman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
