NORMAN — Anna Elizabeth Hicks, 78, of Muskogee, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was born in Muskogee on Dec. 6, 1934, to Robert Randolph Ebersole and Georgia Lee (Felts) Ebersole.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee.
Anna grew up in Muskogee where she attended school graduating from Muskogee Central High School. She continued her education and graduated from Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
Anna moved frequently due to her husband’s service in the U.S. Air Force. Later, they moved back to Stillwater while her husband was in Veterinary School. The family relocated to Norman where they lived for many years before Anna returned to Muskogee. She lived in Muskogee until illness forced her back to the Oklahoma City area where she could be close to her family.
Anna was a member of P.E.O. and very active in her Bridge Club while in Norman. She loved being active and being a grandmother.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Hicks; and a son, Kenneth Edward Biles.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David and Janie Biles of Norman; grandchildren, Jackson, Trinity and Jameson Biles; brother, Robert “Ed” Ebersole of Muskogee and former husband, Dr. Don Biles of Norman.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
