NORMAN — Jesse Edward Littlecalf Capshaw, 58, of Norman, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013. He was born Dec. 14, 1954, to Fred and Fern (Tsotaddle) Littlecalf in Clinton.
At the age of five, he was adopted by Jess Lee and Rowena (Gaston) Capshaw. He grew up in the Norman area and graduated from Norman Public School. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1972 and was honorably discharged in 1976. He attended college at Rose State and also at the University of Oklahoma. Jesse was a member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fern Littlecalf; adopted mother, Rowena Capshaw; brothers, Lavern Littlecalf, Fred Littlecalf Jr., (Porky) and Clyde Littlecalf.
He is survived by his adopted father, Jess Lee Capshaw of Norman; brothers, Charles Ray Littlecalf (Tony) of Flint, Mich., Gabriel Littlecalf of Anadarko and Spencer Littlecalf (Bolo) of Oklahoma City; sisters, Mary Littlecalf Archer of Keota and Anna Fern Littlecalf Lowery of New Mexico; cousins, Louis Hutchens (Pinky) of Norman and Kylie Hutchens of Norman; numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews, and long time friend and caregiver Carolyn Bibles of Norman.
Wake Service will be 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday. Both services will be held at Botone Memorial United Methodist Church in Carnegie. Burial will follow at Tanedooah Cemetery in Carnegie
