NORMAN — Don E. Holzberlein, a resident of Sulphur, was born July 10, 1935, in Norman to Fritz and Katherine (Woods) Holzberlein. He passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Sulphur at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Don grew up in the Oklahoma City area, graduating from Putnam City High School in 1953.
He and Kaye Martin were married on July 10, 1954, in Yukon. He served in the military with the 101st Airborne. The family had lived in Norman for more than 40 years, where he owned Don’s Mobil Lock Shop before moving to Sulphur in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Holzberlein of Sulphur; daughter and son-in-law, Denise Elaine and Jeff Clear of Norman; sons and daughters-in-law, Don Jr. and Tracy Holzberlein of Norman and James Martin and Greta Holzberlein of Abilene, Texas; six grandchildren, Amber, Christine, Amy, Jeffrey, Austin and Chad; and four great-grandchildren, Cooper, Londyn, Kylee and Landry.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Crossway Baptist Church, 2108 W. Broadway in Sulphur, officiated by William R. Martin.
Arrangements are by DeArman’s Clagg Funeral Home in Sulphur.
