NORMAN — Jerry Franklin Hanna was born on July 24, 1958, in Oklahoma City to Elmer Jackson Hanna Sr. and Georgia Ellen Hanna. He died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the young age of 55.

He was a heavy equipment operator by trade whose favorite pastimes were fishing, raising homing pigeons and showing banty roosters.

He dearly loved his beagles.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Jackson Hanna Sr. on May 16, 1980, at the age of 54.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Ayla Hanna Falland of Noble; his mother, Georgia Hanna; five brothers, Ezekial Samples, Sam Samples, Tommy Samples, Elmer Hanna and Bill Hanna. Also surviving are three sisters, Amanda Robinett, Lillian Guess and Judy Hanna and numerous other relatives and friends.

A service honoring Jerry’s life will be 3 p.m. Monday at Heaven Bound Family Church, 1055 24th Ave. SE in Norman.
