NORMAN — Jerry Drew Channer passed from this earth to be with his beloved Lord and Savior. He was a devoted father and husband, always faithful to his Lord. He loved helping those who needed help. Most will remember Jerry from working at Shakey’s Pizza for 12 years in Norman. He was always willing and cheerful, doing what he felt the good Lord expected him to do.
His family will be eternally grateful for the help of Dr. Paul Plusquellac, Dinah and Debbie from Encompass Home Health Care and the staff of Valir Hospice, who were so faithful in coming out and providing care with a cheerful disposition.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Channer of 50 years and two daughters, Kelley Ayers and Kim Channer of Norman.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jerry from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 312 Thompson Drive in Norman.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the City Rescue Mission, 800 W. California Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73106.
Arrangements are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
