Ronald Joe Perry

NORMAN — Ronald Joe Perry, 67, died March 27, 2013, in Oklahoma City. Joe was born March 8, 1946 in Purcell to Ernest and Bessie (Burns) Perry.

Joe was raised in central Oklahoma graduating from school in Purcell in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma and Oscar Rose College.

On June 13, 1969, Joe married Barbara Lairson in Norman. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

Joe worked as a maintenance duty officer at Tinker Air Force Base retiring in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, canning, cooking, reading, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bessie Perry; sister, Marilyn Perry; sister in law, Evelyn Perry; brother in law, Buster Thurston.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughter, Ericka Cargill and husband Paul; son, Tony Perry; grandchildren, Megan Cargill, Will Cargill, Tad Cargill, Dax Cargill; siblings, Theeda Deason and Stan, Ray Perry, Carolyn Kennedy and Charles, Larry Perry and Debbie, Linda Shelton and Darrell, Pat Perry and Mary Lou, Marie Thompson and Burl, Julie O’Neal and Carl, Janet O’Connor and Denny; aunts, July Wyatt and Ken, Lenora Perry; 25 nieces and nephews; 33 great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
