NORMAN — Darrell C. Woodrow was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Norman, to E.C. and Vera (Gifford) Woodrow. He departed this life Monday, June 30, 2014, in Tecumseh at the age of 70.
Darrell attended school at Little Axe and graduated from Noble High School with the class of 1961. He attended college at the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology at Okmulgee and majored in industrial engineering.
He was employed at Tinker Air Force Base in the air freight department before purchasing his own Quick Stop store on east 180th. Darrell enjoyed people. If he didn’t know you, he would get to know you and talk and visit for hours. He was a lifetime resident of Cleveland County, except for the last four years when he lived in Tecumseh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Lisa Woodrow Abner.
Those who survive him include his brother, DeLayne Woodrow of Norman; nephew, Brent Woodrow; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; other relatives; and his many friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McMahans Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Fairview Maguire Cemetery.
