Clarita Carino Pletchetero

NORMAN — Clarita Carino Pletchetero, 74, of Norman, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013. Clarita was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Rosales, Pangasinan Province, Philippines, to Donato and Aurelia Carino.

She moved to the United States with her family in 1986, where for many years she excelled in her profession as a first-rate caregiver. Clarita enjoyed traveling, gardening and cheering for the OKC Thunder and the University of Oklahoma Sooners.

Clarita was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Manuel Pletchetero.

She is survived by daughter, Josie King and husband Ron of Norman; sons Noli Pletchetero and wife Janet and Manny Pletchetero and wife Cherry, also of Norman; grandchildren Nikko Pletchetero and wife Eugenia of Chicago, Marco Pletchetero of Oklahoma City, Nathan, Nikolas, Maggie and Zian Pletchetero, all of Norman; great-grandchild, Alecia Anne of Chicago; sisters Susi Jennings of Oklahoma City, Julie Lagunero of Las Vegas and Eva Lucero of Chicago; and brother, Mel Carino of Rosales, Philippines.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Primrose Funeral Service.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Scott Boeckman officiating. Interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Park in Oklahoma City, where Clarita will be laid to eternal rest beside her husband, Manuel.

Clarita was dearly loved and she will be missed by her family, many friends and associates.

We shall carry forth in honor of Clarita and her life well lived. The family wishes to extend many heartfelt thanks to her doctors and caregivers who were so very kind and gracious with their time and services.
