NORMAN — Joseph Benjamin Dabney, 45, was born in Norman to Clarence and Shirley Dabney on Christmas Day in 1967. Growing up in Norman, Joe could always be seen on his bike with his dog, Midnight, and a fishing pole. When he got a little older, everyone saw him on his motorcycle riding a wheelie all the way down the street. He went to school at Lincoln Elementary, Irving Junior High and Norman High School before going on to become a very skilled mechanic.
High school sweethearts, Joe married Kimberly Wells on Aug. 11, 1990, in Clarence and Shirley’s front yard. They had one child, Brandon, on June 3, 1990.
Joe loved hunting, working on and talking about hot rod cars, fishing, playing the guitar and hanging out with Brandon. Joe loved his family and was very hard working. He would drop what he was doing just to help someone in need. He will be remembered by all for his laugh and sense of humor and his overall love for life.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Don Dabney; and sister, Diana Lynn Dabney.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Dabney and sister, Mickie Bolenbaugh.
