NORMAN — Joseph Thompson “Tommy Joe” Gibson II, 67, took his final journey home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 22, 2013. He died from natural causes in his home in Silver City, N.M., with his beloved wife, Pam, by his side.
He was born in Atlanta to Joe T. and Inez Gibson on Aug. 8, 1945. He grew up in Norman and graduated from Norman High School in 1963. He studied at Central State University in Edmond.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years.
His love and passion for photography continually sharpened throughout his life, gaining him a reputation of expertise in this field. His many works from his God-given talent will transcend his short time on this earth.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Gibson of the home; sister, Debbie Gibson of Dallas; sister, Mary Gibson Dutton of Tulsa; and sister, Pamela Inez Gibson Phillips of Oklahoma City.
Tommy was a very special, loving husband and brother, and we will miss him greatly.
