Richard W. ‘Rick’ Price

NORMAN — The heavens lit up with fireworks when Richard W. “Rick” Price left us to join the heavenly hosts Thursday, July 4, 2013. Rick was a generous, loving man who was passionate about life and fought for it until he answered God’s call to his heavenly home.

Rick was born in Muskogee on Sept. 8, 1942.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Scott Lee and Corene (Holt) Price.

He is survived by his wife, June, of the home; daughters Sheri Williams and husband Scott of Coweta and Sheila Wilson and husband Keith of Coweta; brothers Jack Price of Owasso and Jerry Price of Broken Arrow; grandchildren Amber, Austin, Levi, Faith, Hannah, Chloe and Seth; and June’s children Ginger Vass and husband Kim of Norman and Tom Gallaher of New York City and grandson, Pierce Spead.

Rick was loved for his many passions. He loved fishing, golf, sunrises and sunsets, a perfect yard, his lake house and boat. He loved and was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren and his church family. Even though Rick threatened to retire for several years, he could not let go of his BBB family. He loved his work and the people there who enriched his life and whose lives were enriched by his.

Services are 10 a.m. today at NorthHaven Church, 4600 36th Ave. NW in Norman. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta.

Arrangements for Rick and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.

Online condolences may be shared at havenbrookfuneralhome.com.

Contributions in Rick’s memory may be made to the Cavett Kids Foundation, OU Medical Center, P.O. Box 26307, Oklahoma City, OK 73126, info@cavettkids.org.
