Allie Viola Rollins

NORMAN — Allie Viola Rollins, 82, of Noble, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Norman Regional Hospital after an extended illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home chapel in Purcell.

She was born Sept. 19, 1930, at home east of Noble. She was the oldest child of three children born to Nolan Orville Williamson and Ina Lee (Geno) Williamson. Allie grew up in Noble and attended Noble schools, graduating in 1949. She later met a young man who grew up in the Ladd community by the name Roy Lee Rollins. They were married March 25, 1949, and together raised nine children.

In her early years, she worked for Cassidy and Geraldine Wright in Norman. Then for 23 years, she worked as a housekeeper for the University of Oklahoma, retiring in 1990 as supervisor. After retiring, she enjoyed staying at home to help take care of a grandson and other extended family members.

Allie loved having family get-togethers and spending time watching her favorite sports teams. She was an avid OU football and men and women’s basketball fan. She also was a Texas Ranger fan and lately an OKC Thunder fan.
