NORMAN — Charles Leon Casey, 85, died March 10, 2013, in Norman.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wadley’s Funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Charles was born Aug. 12, 1927, to Larkin and Vivian (Flynn) Casey in Charleston, Ark., where he was raised and attended school. On Dec. 11, 1945, Charles was inducted into the United States Army, serving during World War II. On March 2, 1947, Charles was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class.
Charles enjoyed fishing, camping, puzzles, playing cards and board games. He also enjoyed cooking, baking, playing video games and watching western movies.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Larkin and Vivian; and siblings Don, Geneva, Virginia and Joanne.
Survivors include his daughters Debra Barker and husband Richard of Edmond and Sherrie Rivera and husband Venicio of Goldsby; sons Kevin Casey of Farmington, Mo., and Dale Casey and wife Kerry of Pryor; sister, Alice Clark of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
