NORMAN — Funeral services for Elwanda Louise Harsley, 71, of Noble, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Norman Seventh Day Adventist Church, with the Rev. Delthony Gordon and the Rev. Ron Schwake officiating.
Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Post Cemetery at Fort Sill under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
Mrs. Harsley passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, in Norman.
Elwanda was born April 17, 1942, in Alvardo, Texas, to Lloyd and Louise (Hill) McWilliams. She moved to Oklahoma at a young age. She attended nursing school at the University of Oklahoma. She married Charles Stearns in May 1965.
She worked as an operating room technician at Norman Regional Hospital for more than 10 years. She later married Jesse Harsley on Jan. 5, 1990. She was a member of the Norman Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was very active and involved in numerous activities within the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; her parents; one daughter, Kathleen Ann Stearns; and one sister, Norma Ruth McWilliams.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Boyer and her husband Matt and Barbara Keith and her husband Kerry, both of Noble; four sisters, Mary Williams of Noble, Linda Jarvi of Norman, Dorothy Findley of Norman and Brenda Jackson of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Steve McWilliams and Jimmy McWilliams, both of Norman; three stepsisters, Judy Ireck of Seminole, Shirley Bennett of Shawnee and Cathy Russell of McCloud; four stepbrothers, James Russell of Shawnee, Louis Russell of Norman, Larry Russell of Norman and Earl Russell of Holdenville; three grandchildren, Joseph Harsley and wife Aunnie of Chandler, Danielle Harsley of Oklahoma City and Ashley Harsley of Noble; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Sebastian Butcher of Noble, Stormi Hubanks of Noble and Bentley Harsley of Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
