NORMAN — Margaret Jean Crawford, 86, passed away in Edmond on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013. Margaret was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Pitcher. Her parents were Thomas Hugh and Eva Arnold.
She graduated from Pitcher High School. She attended and graduated business school in Miami, Okla. She met the love of her life, Harold B. Crawford, on Dec. 24, 1945, after his return from the war. They married Aug. 10, 1946, and they were happy for 39 years, until Harold’s passing.
They had three children, Cheryl Crawford Conly, Pam Crawford and Robyn Crawford Shandy. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her family dearly.
After graduating from business school, Margaret worked as a legal assistant for 25 years. She was a faithful servant of God throughout her life through the music ministry.
Margaret played the piano and organ for her home church for over 50 years. She was loved and respected by friends and family.
Her husband, Harold B. Crawford preceded her in death.
She is survived by daughters, Cheryl Conly and husband Len of Sand Springs, Pam Crawford of Edmond, and Robyn Shandy and husband Don of Norman; five grandchildren, Kelli Shockley, Marissa Stuckey, Matthew Shandy, Mallory Shandy and Madeline Shandy. In addition, Margaret had four great-grandchildren, Blake Shockley, Kayla Shockley, Colton Stuckey and Corbin Stuckey.
Based on her wishes there will be graveside services at 2 p.m. today at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta.

Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
