Charles Edwin Warren

NORMAN — Charles Edwin Warren was born to Herbert James and Mary Ellen (Mosely) Warren on June 7, 1938, in Bakersville, Tenn. He departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at his home in Porum at the age of 75 years.

Mr. Warren had resided in Porum for the past 11 years, coming from McCloud. He attended school in Waverly, Tenn. On Oct. 31, 1955, he enlisted in the United States Navy. On Sept. 12, 1958, he was honorably discharged and re-enlisted into the Naval Reserve. He served his country for an additional three years and was honorably discharged from the Reserve on Oct. 30, 1961.

Mr. Warren was employed as a truck driver before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at Lake Eufaula and bowling.

Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Thomas Edwin Warren on Jan. 7, 2007; and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Stark Warren of the home; two sons, Allen Warren and wife Lou of Noble and Michael Warren and wife Donna of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Tonie Champeau Swenson and husband Keith of Norman; six grandchildren, Lacy Selvidge, Krystal Woods, Hillary Adams, Nathan, Kattie and Brooke Champeau; four great-grandchildren, Keith Allen Selvidge, Aiden Adams, Preston Woods and Khloie Woods; the mother of his children, Betty Warren; one stepson, Nathan Stark IV and wife Stephanie; two stepdaughters, Mona Litterell and husband Jerry and Cindy Schwieger and husband Chris; five stepgrandchildren, Cortnie and Josh Stark and Connor, Tanner and Taylor Litterell; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at McMahans Funeral Home in Noble. Pastor Wendall Cox will officiate.

Interment will follow at Noble IOOF Cemetery with military honors.

Viewing will be 2 to 6 p.m. today at McMahans Funeral Home.

Services are arranged and directed by McMahans Funeral Home in Noble.
