Ronnie Marvin "Ronson" Alexander Jr., 41, of Oklahoma City died Thursday, Feb. 9, in Oklahoma City. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heartland Harvest Church with the Hon. J.C. Watts Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman. Havenbrook Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Alexander was born June 19, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, to Ronnie Alexander Sr. and Shirley Taylor Alexander. He graduated from Washington High School and later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He moved to Norman in 1981. He married Diana E. Calzado on Feb. 21, 1995. Mr. Alexander was a member of the Norman Citizens Council, Norman Arts Board, Norman Board of Realtors and Heartland Harvest Church. Family members say Mr. Alexander never met anyone he didn't love. "He loved his family and God with all his heart. He will be missed by all and may he rest peacefully in heaven. He is in the arms of another angel now," a family member said.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Diana of the home; daughter Courtney of the home; sons Cole and Nicolas Alexander of the home; stepdaughters Sophia and Olivia Grantham of the home; parents Ron Sr. and Shirley Alexander of Norman; brothers Chad Alexander of Oklahoma City, Jim Lewis of Norman, Jerry Lewis of Norman and Kendal Gilchrist of Dallas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Bearers will be Jimmy Lewis, Jerry Lewis, Chad Alexander, Cole Alexander, Mark Brown, Hunter Miller, Steve Jones, Mike Haworth and Kendal Gilchrist. Honorary bearers will be Tem McCutchen, David Spaulding, Tim Spaulding, Tony Cooper, Josh Cossey, Nicolas Alexander, Chad David Alexander II and Jerl Methvin.
