Cliff C. Miller

Services for Cliff C. Miller, 82, Moore, will be 11 a.m. Friday, at the Primrose Chapel, with the Rev. Ice officiating. Burial will be at the Norman IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.

Mr. Miller died Tuesday, Aug. 28, in Norman.

He was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Moore, to Crado and Maudine (Holmes) Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of the Oklahoma City Police Department beginning in 1948. He retired as Chief of Detectives with the rank of Major. He was very dedicated during his 25-year career, often stating he loved the force so much he would work for free. Cliff was a great life partner to his wife. His quick wit and numerous sayings will be fondly remembered. He was "Pops" to his kids and a friend to many.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Bennie, of the home; a daughter, Karla Finney and husband Mark of Louisville, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Pam Despeaux and husband Mark of Wichita Falls, Texas, Debbie Malloy of Oklahoma City; his sister, Betty Goodman of Norman; two grandchildren, Stephanie Lewis of Moore; Neal Montgomery of Oklahoma City; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Boyd and Rylan Payne; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Miller.
