NORMAN — Muriel Freeman Overstreet, 92, of Norman, was born July 2, 1921, in Cowlington to Riley Clayton and Bessie (Magby) Overstreet. A veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, Mr. Overstreet was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Omega Cannon Overstreet.

Mr. Overstreet is survived by his son, David M. Overstreet; two daughters, Teresa Willige and husband August “Augie” Willige III and Ellen Tullius and husband Jeff Tullius, all of Norman; grandchildren Michelle and Steve Landolt of Oklahoma City, Ann Dee Overstreet of Norman, Sara and Jonathan Ritchie of Tehachapi, Calif., Chad Tullius and wife Lori Donovan of Norman, Traci Tullius and husband Jason Head of Wappingers Falls N.Y., Katrina and Dylan Muir of Cedar Park, Texas, August “Dusty” Willige IV and Beth of Norman and April Willige Hindman and Shawn Hindman of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren Victoria, Jackson, Alex, Owen and Caroline Ritchie of Tehachapi, Calif., Andrew and Aubry Willige of Norman and Aidan Willige of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews Doranna Cooper, Gay and Bill Almond and Jimmy Overstreet of California, Deborah and C.D. Chandler of Norman and Bobby Grant, Eddie Grant, Justin and Angie Grant of Newcastle; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and the Robinson Church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Bertie Overstreet; brother, Stacy Overstreet; infant brother, Patrick Overstreet; nephew, Ken Overstreet; infant granddaughter, Omega Lee Willige; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Albert and Jo Helen (Montgomery) Cannon; sisters-in-law Ruth Levins and Karen Grant; and nephew, Jimmy Levins.

Private services are planned, with burial at Fairview Robinson Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service. For condolences, visit
