NORMAN — Paul Edward Seiter, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. He was born June 8, 1939, to Eddie and Clara (Hemmer) Seiter.
He was raised in the Moore-Norman area on the Seiter family dairy farm. He was a member of the FFA and baseball and football teams at Moore High School. He graduated in 1957.
Mr. Seiter was a 22-year member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard, 145th Signal Battalion, 45th Infantry Division, as a staff sergeant and aviation motor sergeant of the 205th Signal Company (combat area).
His life-long passion was working in the oilfield. He was employed as a rig hand at different oil companies, then later owned and operated an oilfield Roustabout service.
He was an avid reader of history and western books.
He is survived by his former wife, Donna (Stevens) Seiter; daughter, Lisa (Seiter) Burke and her husband Allen and their son Bryan; brother, Bill Seiter and wife Carolyn; and sisters Patty Christian and husband Garth and Shirley Bates and husband Steve. There are many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him, too.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
