NORMAN — Sharon Ruth Henry was born on New Year’s Day 1950 in Sallisaw and transitioned from this life Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, in Norman, with her sisters by her bedside.
The daughter of Earl and Pearl Henry, she was born with congenital Rubella Syndrome. She attended the School for the Blind in Muskogee.
Sharon loved life and was very independent. Her favorite subjects were law, medicine and politics, and she loved discussing any of those at any time.
She had four brothers and four sisters, all of whom loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ron Henry, who taught her how to play guitar.
Sharon is survived by four sisters, Lucy Kendrick of Van Buren, Ark., Brenda Wilson of Norman, Dr. Paula McQueen of Tahlequah and Dr. Shelba Bethel of Norman; and three brothers, Bill Henry of Sallisaw, Earl Henry Jr. of Gans and Donny Henry of Grady, Ark.
Pallbearers were Sharon’s nephews.
