NORMAN — Shelley R. Hulin was born Sept. 15, 1960, in Denison, Texas, to Troy Murrel and Bobby June Hulin. She died Sunday, May 12, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was 52 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy M. and Bobby J. Hulin; her maternal grandmother, Finnie R. Enochs (on the Daws role); and her aunt, Berniece Enochs.

Shelley is survived by her life partner, Debbie Rogers; sister, Niki Hulin Marler (and Camille Palmer); her nephews Michael Marler and wife Michelle of Pflugerville, Texas, and Jeremey Marler and wife Angela of Luther; niece, Bobby Wiggins and her husband Jason of Oklahoma City; two great-nieces and three great-nephews. Shelley is also survived by many friends and her “fur kids” (Kit and Madison).

Shelley loved her previous jobs of working with kids and their families, playing the drums and keyboard and teaching music at Rose State College. She composed many pieces of music and was interested in learning to play a variety of instruments.

She was very proud of her Choctaw heritage.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation in Shelley’s name or Free To Live Animal Shelter in Edmond.

Arrangements for Shelley and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.
