NORMAN — Carie Marie Broadbooks Simmons, 27, went home to be with her Lord on May 13, 2013. She was born in Liberal, Kan., on Aug. 27, 1985, and moved to Oklahoma with her family in May 1992.
Carie spent most of her years growing up in the Noble area. She attended Noble High School as well as Robinson Street Baptist School.
She loved her family, especially her husband, Drew. She had a special love for her stepchildren and her niece and nephews. Carie also had a life-long love of singing and dancing. She was a loyal friend and confidant. Carie’s passing has left a giant hole in the hearts of all those that knew and loved her.
Carie was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Allen II; her grandparents, Merl Chance and Allen and Alice Broadbooks; her nephew, Cache Morris; her aunt, June Kline; and her cousins Keye Westbrook and LeeAnne Davis.
Those she leaves to mourn her passing include her husband, Drew Simmons; her parents, Steve and Helen Broadbooks; her brother, Cale Broadbooks and wife Sarah; her sister, Casie Morris and husband Laramy; her niece, Hayvn Morris; nephews Lane Broadbooks, Cage Morris, and Daxton Nieman; her maternal grandmother, Ruth Chance; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her beloved dog, Bo Jangles.
Carie’s Going Home Celebration will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Noble Assembly of God.
Memorials may be given instead of flowers to Republic Bank in Norman, c/o Casie Morris.
