Lyle Teeter

NORMAN — Lyle Teeter, age 75, of Anna died at 7:11pm Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at his home. He was born April 3, 1937, to George E. and Dola Marie (Gasseur) Teeter in Oklahoma City. He married Pam Roggli on Oct. 10, 1969.

He was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Anna and Gideons International. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for six years and then as his life career in the Civilian Air Force retiring as a GM15.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Pam; a son, William Grothe (Karen) Teeter of Palatine, IL; a daughter, Tavia Vasicek of Anna; three grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Teeter, Ava Vasicek, a brother, Don Teeter of Oklahoma City; a sister, Iris Brightwater of El Cerrito, CA; a sister-in-law Carolyn Teeter of Moore, Okla; nephew, Mark Teeter; Pam’s brother and sisters, Linda Strong, Ronald Roggli, Deborah Goss, Melody Young and their families; and their church family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Laurence and Arden; in- laws, Robert E. and Fern Roggli.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 30, 2012 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro and 10-11 a.m. Oct. 1, 2012 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Anna.

Funeral services will be 11am, October 1, 2912 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Anna with Rev. Jonathan Whitley officiating.

Military rites will be by Carroll P. Foster 3455.

Committal service will be at 12:30 pm Oct. 2, 2012 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with interment to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to Gideons International or Relay for Life of Union County. and will be accepted at the funeral home. To leave online condolences please visit
