NORMAN — William “Bill” Darrell Schader, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Bill was born in Norman on Nov. 1, 1941 to the late William and Ursula Schader.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Schader; his three daughters, Tiffany, Carri and Kathy; and his granddaughter, Molly; son-in-law, Ryan.
Bill graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and the University of Oklahoma. He majored in public relations with a minor in photo journalism. He was in the Air Force, stationed in Barcelona, Spain, and received an honorable discharge in 1965.
Devoted to helping others, Bill also volunteered for schools and several organizations.
After Bill graduated from college, his work took him around the country to Kansas, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina and New Hampshire.
He and Bobbi eventually retired in Athens, Ga. where they could be closer to their daughters and granddaughter.
Bill was the ultimate husband and father, and his most cherished times were spent with his family. He was loving, funny, charming and never met a stranger.
Services were held at St. Anna’s Catholic Church in Monroe, Ga. on Friday, May 10, 2013. He is, and will be, missed dearly by all who knew him.
