Ralph S. Dority

NORMAN — Ralph S. Dority, 77, of Norman, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012. Mr. Dority was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Charleston, S.C. He was raised by his parents, Bill and Anne Dice, in Baltimore, Md.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Generations Church, 715 E. Eufaula St., in Norman.

On Sept. 19, 1953, he married his beloved wife, Kay “Dolly” A. Fahey, at Patterson Park Baptist Church. They raised four children and shared 58 years together. He was proudest of his children and grandchildren.

He made his living as a cross country truck driver and became a security guard for Sooner Security when he retired. He is a member of Generations Church in Norman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Grace Bender; and sons Lee Dority and Ron Butner.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; a daughter, Dawn Silva and husband John of Norman; a son, Tim and wife Kathy of Kirklin, Ind.; a son, Doug and wife Jan of Norman; a sister, Pearl Erdman of Fort Myers, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
