Anna Sunderland

NORMAN — Anna Sunderland, 86, of Norman, passed away September 20, 2013.

She was born August 5, 1927 to Anton and Anna Winkler. Anna enjoyed gardening, crafts, and sewing.

She is survived by her son, Robert Sunderland and wife Wanda; grandchildren, Carol Schmidt (Robert) of Bartlett, TN, Jennifer Sunderland (Bobby Hunt) of Norman, OK, Ashley Sunderland (Justin Leet) of Cordova, TN; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers and sisters, Antonie and husband Franz Zitterbart, Josef and wife Heidi Winkler; brother-in-law, Hubert Petermuller; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sunderland; sister, Erna Petermuller; parents; two sisters who passed at birth. In lieu of flowers family ask donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
