Georgia L. Elb

NORMAN — Georgia L. Elb was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Campbell, N.Y., to Chauncey and Gertrude Loucks. On July 5, 1958, she married Dr. Robert W. Elb. Dr. and Mrs. Elb worked together at his chiropractic office in Norman for many years. Georgia loved to sing, especially for the 42 years as a member of the Sweet Adelines. Georgia also served as secretary/treasurer and later as president of the Norman Council of Camp Fire Girls and spent many, many summers volunteering at Camp Can Ya Ta. She was also a devout Sooners fan and would always watch them play.

Georgia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Robert W. Elb (Nov. 8, 1996).

Georgia is survived by her elder daughter, Anne Carroll and husband Sam and their two boys Samuel “Cale” and Josh Cole “J.C.” of North Richland Hills, Texas; her younger daughter, Kathie Tone and husband Ragan of Oklahoma City; and a younger sister, Carrie L. Roberts of Lakeland, Fla.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned for the near future. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to Oklahoma City Chorus — Angel Fund, P.O. Box 58058, Oklahoma City, OK 73157; or the American Lung Association.
