NORMAN — Wendell Troy Peck, 68, went to be with his Savior on Tuesday morning, March 19, 2013, with his family by his side. Wendell Troy “Wink” was born in Oklahoma City on July 1, 1944, the son of George and Juanita Peck.
A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Havenbrook Funeral Home chapel, 3401 Havenbrook St. in Norman.
He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1962. He married the love of his life, Janice Ann Gilley, on June 7, 1963. He retired from General Motors after 27 years as a toolmaker. He loved going camping and traveling with his wife and working around their beautiful country home.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George Oliver Peck and Juanita Sue Foust-Peck; his beloved brother-in-laws Bob Nikkel and Hubert Raymond Gilley Jr.; and son-in-law, Phil Williams.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Janice Ann Gilley-Peck; his daughters Cynthia Ann Peck and Dr. Christy Ann Peck, M.D.; three grandchildren, Dustin Wayne Argo, Lyndsie Ann Cornell and Austin Clay Argo; his siblings Eddie Peck and wife Christine Peck, Myra Nikkel, Carolyn Wilson and husband Mike Wilson and Charles Peck and wife Connie Peck; and many nieces and nephews. He will remain in our hearts forever as a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.
The family would like to thank the staff of Valir Hospice for their excellent care and service.
