Sharon Fae Cassel

NORMAN — Sharon Fae Cassel was a very personable, gregarious and loving person. She will be missed greatly.

No services are scheduled.

Sharon was born to Velma Brown Worcester and Jesse Lea Worcester in Denver.

She lived in Garden Grove, Calif., through her college years. Sharon attended San Jose Nursing College and graduated with a RN degree.

She married Donald Henry Cassel in 1957.

To this union, two children were born: Mark Frederick Cassel in 1959, and Dawn Danelle “DD” Cassel in 1961. Sharon moved to Norman in 1974 and worked for Oklahoma Allergy Asthma Clinic until retirement.

Sharon thoroughly enjoyed caring for her patients and working with her colleagues.

Sharon was a very caring, mother, sister and daughter. Her children were thankful for their mother’s devotion through their formative years.

She was preceded in death by Fred and Velma Conklin, Jesse Lea Worcester and Fannie Holmes.

Survivors include son, Mark Cassel and wife Jan of Billings, Mont.; daughter, DD Skalabrin and husband Paul of Seattle; sisters Charla Dean and hus band Danny of Ogden, Utah, and Janice Renfro and husband Gary of Wilson; brothers Larry Worcester of Dodge City, Kan., Daryl Worcester of Hill City, Kan., and Jeffery Worcester of Gillette, Wyo.; grandchildren Matthew Cassel, Val Campos, Tyler, Amanda and Laura Skalabrin; and great-granddaughter, Zoey Campos.

Arrangements are by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.
