NORMAN — Bradley Allen Kelsheimer passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his home in Norman.
There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Primrose Funeral Service and a service to celebrate his life at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Primrose Funeral chapel.
Brad was born on May 6, 1965, in Mattoon, Ill., to Dewey David and Cheryl Jean Kelsheimer (now Ferguson). His family moved to California in 1966, where he grew up and graduated from Loara High School in Anaheim. In his youth, he was a volunteer police explorer. It was this positive experience that influenced his decision to earn a degree in criminal justice from Fullerton State University. Also, Brad was a star baseball pitcher in the East Anaheim League in Anaheim, Calif. He was an avid golfer and was passionate about poker. He played in many tournaments.
In 2002, Brad met the love of his life on a blind date and took her on a gondola ride in Newport Beach, Calif. From that moment on, love blossomed, and he and Karen Esther Jones were married on March 22, 2003, at Disneyland in the Rose Garden. Their love and caring for each other was paramount until the last day of his life. Also, of primary importance in their marriage was Karen’s daughter, Ashlee Marie. Brad and Ashlee formed a beautiful father/daughter bond that will be cherished throughout Ashlee’s lifetime.
At the time of his death, Brad was the CEO of his own company, Loss Prevention Associates.
Brad was respected and loved by his family and friends. He was known for his good humor, being able to “dish it out” and “take it” as well. He was known for his generosity and kindness. He put family above everyone else and took every opportunity to be helpful and caring.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Kelsheimer, and grandmother, Norma Kelsheimer.
