NORMAN — The election is more than a week old and many campaign signs remain throughout the county. They are almost as prolific as roofing contractor signs.
It’s not just the defeated candidates, too. A reader in east Norman says candidates and their volunteers need to do a better job of recycling their signs.
The city has rules governing garage sale and other signs posted in public rights-of-way. Perhaps code enforcement could take a sweep down some county roads and make notes on which candidates have neglected to retrieve their signs.
