Nonprofit hosts fundraiser

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

Kaleidoscope Grief Support Inc. is a nonprofit agency and a United Way of Norman funded partner whose mission is “to provide peer support in a safe and understanding environment for children and their families who are grieving the death of a loved one.”

This agency has been serving the needs of grieving children in Cleveland and McClain counties for seven years. Children meet in support groups with trained volunteer facilitators while their parent/guardian meets in an adult group. The groups meet year-round and are available at no cost to the participants.

The first step in getting started is to call Kaleidoscope at 306-0052 for enrollment information.

Because of its dependence on grants and donations to continue its service to the community, Kaleidoscope is hosting its annual fundraiser, “Delights and Desserts.” The event will be 6:30 p.m. April 8 at The Depot, 200 S. Jones Ave. Oklahoma author Molly Levite Griffis will speak. Singer/songwriter Patti Drennan will provide music to start the evening.

Enjoy a night of delicious desserts from local bakeries, music and a delightful talk from Griffis and help Kaleidoscope continue to help grieving children and their families.

Tickets are $30 and are available at the door or by calling 306-0052.
