You’ve got to have faith

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

My name is Alice Graham. I live in Leesville, SC and I’m a songwriter/musician. I wrote this song the following morning as I drove to work. I asked the question, “What is it that Moore needs the most today?” and the answer was faith. Attached is my song. hope you can put the words in your letter column.

Verse 1:

Standing in the wreckage, staring at the walls, oh my God is this for real,

There’s nothing left at all. Hopes and dreams or so it seems, quickly disappeared,

Left behind the heartaches, loneliness and fears.

We’ve got to have faith. That’s all that we can do. We’ve got to believe that God will get us through. When we feel all hope is gone and we think we can’t go on, have faith. We’ve got to have faith.

Verse 2

I know so many there today, don’t know what to do. They feel so lost and all alone,

Dazed and so confused. They have so many questions, and don’t know where to turn.

Lend a hand, give a hug, let them know that they are loved. Have faith. Have faith.

We’ve got to have faith. That’s all that we can do. We’ve got to believe that God will get us through.

When we feel all hope is gone and we think we can’t go on, have faith. We’ve got to have faith.
