NORMAN — The rain and cool weather are helping welcome many of the nation’s lieutenant governors to Oklahoma this week.
The National Lieutenant Governors Association began a three-day meeting in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. They last visited here in 1998 when Gov. Mary Falllin was lieutenant governor.
Like Gov. Fallin, many of those lieutenant governors will go on to become governors in their states. We fully expect our Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb to one day be a candidate for governor.
The elected officials will visit about tribal relations and get to see the expanded skyline and riverfront in Oklahoma City. They also will take a tour of the tornado damage in Moore and tour the Oklahoma City Memorial.
