We live in OU country, not OSU

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

The front sports section of July 21 filled me and many others with disgust. I am referring to the article titled “Cowboys making good use of new facility.”

Are you not aware that this is the home of the University of Oklahoma and they have many sports activities that could have been covered? Also, there are two 6-A high schools which I believe offer a number of sports.

In addition, it seems that when there is an OU sports figure who has found themselves on the opposite side of the law, it always makes front page (note the July 22 paper).

No doubt when it gets a little closer to football season, your marketers will be knocking on all of the business’ doors, wanting support for the local team. You disgust me. Most likely your choice of what you think is news has caused your circulation to go down.

Please keep OSU stories and “them Cowboys” off the front page unless it pertains to OU. Better yet, keep OSU out of The Transcript. (I am assuming Berry Tramel is not making placement decisions for The Transcript.) Like it or not, this is OU country.
