NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:
I’m appalled at the inconsistent message we get from city hall.
They’re rationing our water now, and we have a crisis with the south sewer treatment plant.
We have been promised for years that the south plant would be brought up to speed and meet EPA guidelines.
Now council is actually considering new high density apartment housing with congestion as high as 130 units per acre.
How can a 1300x increase in housing density help our water and sewer problems?
The builders haven’t stopped platting tracts of homes on the outskirts of town.
If you are concerned about the proposed high density project on campus corner and want to help preserve the unique charm of Campus Corner, be sure and come to the committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. on April 22 or contact your council person and express your views now!
