NORMAN — Oklahoma has landed a shooting guard to replace Je’lon Hornbeak. Iowa Western Community College shooting guard Dinjiyl Walker announced on Twitter Thursday night that he has signed with the Sooners. OU is expected to announce Walker’s signing today.
Walker, 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, averaged 16.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season. He shot 41.8 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from 3-point range.
A source close to the program confirmed to the Transcript Thursday evening that OU is no longer recruiting Westchester (N.Y.) Community College guard Giovanni McLean.
