It was the longest touchdown run by a quarterback during Stoops’ tenure as head coach. The last time a Sooner quarterback had a touchdown run longer than 55 yards was when Patrick Fletcher went 58 yards vs. TCU in 1998.
Another milestone for Stills: With his second reception of the game, Stills moved into fourth place on the Sooners’ all-time receiving list. He now has 2,317 yards. He moved past Malcolm Kelly (2005-07), who finished with 2,285 yards.
Jones continues climb: OU quarterback Landry Jones continued his rise in the NCAA record book.
With 277 passing yards, Landry Jones now ranks fourth in NCAA history with 15,069 passing yards, passing BYU’s Ty Detmer who had 15,031 yards.
With 267 yards of total offense, Jones now has 14,708 for his career to pass Boise State’s Kellen Moore and Detmer for 7th in NCAA history.
With two touchdowns passes, Jones surpassed Russell Wilson (North Carolina State and Wisconsin) for 10th in NCAA history with 111 touchdowns.
