NORMAN — Oklahoma officals confirmed Monday that OU has sold out its allotment of tickets for AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic vs. Texas A&M. The Sooners and Aggies will meet Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

OU’s original allotment of 12,500 tickets went on sale to season-ticket holders upon the game’s announcement Sunday night. OU requested additional tickets from the Cotton Bowl, and that allotment was sold out by approximately 11:45 a.m. Monday, bringing the total number of tickets purchased to more than 13,000.

Way honored: Oklahoma punter Tress Way was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week Monday for his role in a 24-17 Oklahoma victory at TCU.

Way’s honor marked the third consecutive week a Sooner has earned Big 12 POY accolades. It is the second time Way has won the awad.

The senior punted seven times for a 49.3 average against the Horned Frogs, landing two punts inside the 20-yard line. He booted a season-long 75-yard punt in the third quarter, the third longest punt of his career and his fifth in excess of 70 yards.
