NORMAN — Oklahoma will have six former players represented in the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 20-26.
The NFL released the list of 333 invitees and safety Tony Jefferson, offensive tackle Lane Johnson, quarterback Landry Jones, defensive lineman Stacy McGee, wide receiver Kenny Stills and linebacker Tom Wort are set to participate.
OU led all Big 12 schools with six players selected for the NFL Scouting Combine. Kansas State had five players receive invitations. West Virginia had four. Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas had three. Baylor, Kansas and Iowa State had two. Texas Tech did not have a single player invited.
In total, 29 Big 12 players have received invitations, meaning 20.7 percent of the league’s alums represented at the combine will be from OU.
The 2013 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27. OU has supplied 357 players all-time in the NFL Draft, the fourth-highest total of all schools.
In 2012, the Sooners had seven players drafted. Dating back to 2000, 60 OU players have been tabbed in the NFL Draft.
