Friday's activities from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.include a look at turtles and birds at the center, a chance to make fabric leaf prints and a storytime.

The Discovery Cove Nature Center has a variety of family activities planned for the holiday weekend.

Friday's activities from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.include a look at turtles and birds at the center, a chance to make fabric leaf prints and a storytime.

Saturday's schedule begins with a bird walk at 9 a.m. Activites looking at various insects in the area continue throughout the day, finishing with a 7:30 p.m. slideshow on some of the less commonly seen birds that live near Lake Thunderbird.

Sunday features a slide show about bats at 1:30 p.m. and a presentation on "Skins, Skulls and Tracks," detailing how animals live, at 2:30 p.m.
