TECUMSEH, Okla. — Administrators at Tecumseh Public Schools say all schools have been locked down while police search for two students.

Assistant Superintendent Julie Dawson said Wednesday that all five schools in the district about 40 miles southeast of Oklahoma City have been locked down at the request of police. Dawson says all students are safe.

Dawson says the Tecumseh Police Department asked the school district to lock down the schools Wednesday morning while they search for two middle school students. Officials have not confirmed why authorities are searching for the boys and whether they made threats against the school.

The students’ names and where they were last seen have not been released. Officials say they did not appear at school Wednesday.
