NORMAN — The body of a drowning victim was confirmed found around 5 p.m. at Lake Thunderbird today.
Emergency officials responded to a report of a possible drowing around 3:40 p.m. at 15000 E. Rock Creek Road on the east side of Lake Thunderbird.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Amy Cobalt confirmed one male in his 20s was missing. Several witnesses saw the man go under water and the victim's brother attempted to locate him, but was unsuccessful, Cobalt said.
The victim's brother, 27, over exerted himself and was transported by EMSStat, according to Jim Bailey, Norman Deputy Fire Chief. The victim was 25 years old, he said.
The condition of the 27-year-old is unknown at this time, Cobalt said.
