Police identify fatality victim from Monday's crash

Cadence Gordon, age 8, died from her injuries

NORMAN — Norman Police on Tuesday identified the victim from Monday's crash on Highway 9 as Cadence Gordon, 8.

She was a passenger in a Ford Explorer. The other occupants have been identified as Christy Amos, 29, and Christina Francis, 33. 

Francis and Amos were transported to OU Medical Center by EMSStat where they remain hospitalized in stable condition. Gordon was transported from the scene by Air Ambulance to the OU Medical Center where she later died as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

The occupants of the involved Dodge Ram have been identified as Christopher Mullendore, 43, Susan Mullendore, 43, and Leanna Mullendore, 13, all of Harrah. All three were transported to Norman Regional Hospital by EMSStat, treated for injuries sustained in the collision and later released. 

The driver of the involved Ford Escape has been identified as Kimberly Wenthold, 29, of Slaughtersville. Wenthold was not injured in the collision and was later arrested by Norman Police on complaints of manslaughter in the first-degree and driving under the influence causing great bodily injury.

The collision remains under investigation by the Norman/OU Police Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team.
