Oklahoma quarterback Blake Bell was named the Big 12 Conference’s offensive player of the week Monday morning.
Bell completed 27-of-37 passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns in Oklahoma’s 51-20 win over Tulsa. All of his numbers marked career-highs. The junior did not throw an interception and posted an 202.4 NCAA passer rating. He also ran 10 times for 24 yards. Bell’s 413 passing yards were the most by an OU quarterback in his first career start, passing Sam Bradford’s record of 363 yards vs. North Texas in 2007.
