No injuries reported in OKC fitness center fire

Fire may have started in center's gymnasium

OKLAHOMA CITY —

No injuries were reported after a three-alarm fire broke out at an Oklahoma City fitness center Wednesday morning.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department says the blaze was reported shortly after 6 a.m. at Lighthouse Sports and Fitness. The center was evacuated and firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze.

Fire officials tell Oklahoma City television station KOCO that the blaze may have started in the center’s gymnasium. Authorities say flooring that was being installed on the basketball court may have caught fire, sending smoke that got into the center’s ventilation system.
