NORMAN — Coaches don't tend to care for moral victories and still, following Sunday's 97-92 overtime loss to then-No. 4 Louisville, Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale thought her squad had become a better team in the process. Today, it appears the media pollsters do, too.

Previously No. 11, the Sooners moved up one spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25, putting them into the top 10 at No. 10. Louisville, with its victory over OU, moved up one spot to No. 4. Baylor stayed put at No. 9 and remains the highest ranked Big 12 Conference team.

Connecticut, Duke and Tennessee occupy the first three slots. Notre Dame, Stanford, Kentucky and Maryland are Nos. 5-8.

The Soonres are back on the Lloyd Noble Center court at 7 p.m. Wednesday to face Texas-Arlington.
